Current update.

I have been slowly finding out what jobs that I designed POP for have gone “dead” well I found out that this one that I was so innovative with, sadly it is too much work/expensive to make a vacuumed formed kayak with things such as bicycle wheels in it. Not to mention it would be a huge display. But here are some more realistic designs that I created for the new Garmin GPS Watch, sadly another designer’s design got picked. More creative the better it can sell the less costly and well designed display.

With this design it was all about the elevation of the journey. Small and could work as a counter display but also as a fine retailer display.

The idea behind this design was all about how important this watch is.

This idea played on the idea of interacting with the display but also keeping it very clean. The point behind this design was that you can wear it to work and for play.

Other than the vac form backpack this is my favorite design, i just like enjoy the overall idea and concept.

This image was a client request to change the way the viewer interacted with the display.

Portfolio in progress

It seems these days everything is a work in progress, well with the final 3 days of classes coming up I hope all of that will change. Much of my work is uploaded but missing full explanations.  Here is my portfolio, check back soon as it is also a work in progress.

Making a Book

For our final wrap up to the semester, we are making a group book. On top of the individual books that many of us want to make, all 8 students are met with the task of designing the MIAD Senior IAD Exhibition 2012 book. That is 8 computers to accommodate. Here are the first two pages of my layout, that will be going in my section. Image

Thesis Book in question

From all the graphic design posts, one might think I am a graphic designer. At MIAD they want all the students to be well rounded. Some graphic design courses wouldn’t hurt. There would be no need to pay two people, when you can pay one person who has a well-rounded skill set. Interior Architecture Design is where I will stay, my focus is Interior Design. What I mean by that is I design the spaces on the inside of the building, not just pick out the colors. Here is a layout idea for a group book that is in question for our thesis class final.

Last Installment

I am still not happy about how these are looking. For now they are done, I want to fix, tweak or just redesign them. Welcome, is a place where clients check in, wait and purchase. It is also used as a transitional space from the cafe and offices located on the second floor.

The Spa at home, a body spa system for your bathroom. This is one space that I am very unhappy with and I’m trying to come up with a better design for this whole system. This one truly is still a work in progress.
